About Me

My name is Ryan Parsons and I'm a licensed SC Residential Home Builder. When I was old enough to find my dad’s toolbox and “borrow” his tools, I was either building something or attempting to fix it, even if it wasn't broken. As a kid growing up in the "boondocks" of East Columbia, we were left to entertain ourselves and building stuff was a favorite pastime.  By the age of ten I had built my first tree house, and though I didn't know it at the time, I was on my way to a career in construction. I’ve taken on several titles and responsibilities over the years from demo guy/painter, sales and management, and owner. Over the last 14 years in the construction business, my passion has always been working with homeowners.

In 2006, after graduating from Appalachian State University, I quickly jumped into business with two friends (and fellow Eagle Scouts) who were looking to expand their handyman service. We were pressure washing, painting, making small repairs, and generally taking care of the “small stuff” that goes with owning an older home. We were amazed at the number of people who couldn't find anyone to take care of the small to medium repairs and improvements they needed help with. We built that business on being honest, dependable, and finishing one project before moving on to the next. What a concept!
During a three year adventure in Alaska, I explored new areas of construction including off-grid/renewable energy, timber framing, and a project that included both and some days required a snowmobile to get to the job site. Columbia has always been home and while I miss Alaskan Summers, I'm glad to be in the Capitol City helping homeowners make their largest investment "Practically Perfect!"
